These terms govern your use of the Matchbox Talent website. By using the site, you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to catch you out.

01Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using matchboxtalent.com.au (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Website Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

02About this site

The Site is operated by Matchbox Talent (ABN 98 254 951 400), a recruitment agency based in Holroyd, NSW 2142, Australia.

The Site provides information about our services, lists open vacancies, and lets visitors submit enquiries, referrals, and job applications. Nothing on the Site is an offer of employment, and nothing on it forms a recruitment services agreement.

03No job guarantee

Sending an enquiry, a resume, or an application does not guarantee a job, a placement, or an interview. It does not create an employment relationship, and it does not create a recruitment services agreement between you and Matchbox Talent.

Any recruitment services we provide are covered by a separate written agreement.

Employers and candidates are responsible for their own independent verification of identity, right to work, qualifications, and credentials before entering into any employment or engagement. We do not verify these ourselves. See our Privacy Policy for what we do and do not check.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Submit an application or referral on someone else's behalf without their permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its systems.
• Disrupt, overload, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Site.
• Scrape or harvest data from the Site using bots, crawlers, or automated tools.
• Upload files containing viruses, malware, or harmful code.
• Copy, reproduce, or resell any part of the Site without our written permission.

05No accounts

We do not require you to create an account to browse vacancies or apply for a role. There are no passwords to manage, no profiles to maintain, and no subscriptions.

Anything you submit through a form is handled under our Privacy Policy.

06Intellectual property

All original content on the Site, including text, graphics, the logo, icons, images, and the underlying code, is owned by or licensed to Matchbox Talent and is protected by copyright law. We reserve all rights in our name and logo.

You may view, download, and print pages from the Site for your own personal or internal business use, provided you do not modify the content and do not remove any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.

You may not use our name, logo, or any content from the Site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Please ask before using it.

07Vacancy listings

Vacancy listings are provided by Matchbox Talent on behalf of employers. We make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that:

• Any listing will stay open for any particular period.
• Any application will lead to an interview, an offer, or a placement.
• Any employer will hire any candidate.

Listings can be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice. We take reasonable steps to assess candidates against the role brief and introduce suitable options. The hiring decision, and the ongoing employment relationship, remain with the employer and the candidate. Any guarantee or remedy we offer is set out in our separate written recruitment services agreement.

08Accuracy and links

We try to keep the information on the Site correct, but it can change, and we cannot promise it is complete or up to date. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss arising from reliance on it. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Information on the Site is general in nature. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice, and you should get independent advice before making decisions based on it.

The Site may link to other websites. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or how they handle your information.

09Disclaimers and liability

The Site and its content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors or viruses. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict access at any time without notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matchbox Talent and its directors, employees, and agents exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, and loss of data.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant services or paying the cost of having them resupplied.
